(new!!) Mini G next to Standard Short Body
---> Be sure to check out the New Images page for more
awesome images of the new features!
1.) NOW... WON'T BREAK OR LEAK - ONE
PIECE MACHINED BACK END
The HDPE back end is now machined of
one solid piece. The motor compartment is part of the tail. This
will not break, can not leak.
2) SLEEK BLACK ANODIZED ALUMINUM
LEGS ARE EASILY REPLACEABLE
The legs are black anodized aluminum
on both models. On the HDPE, the legs are easily replaceable should
one get bent. On the Aluminum version, the brakets that hold the
legs are replaceable ( legs will not bend on the aluminum
scooter).
3) EASY ACCESS MOTOR
COMPARTMENT
The motor compartment lid is smapped
on with two latches for easy servicing. The motor is held in with
four screws, and can be removed in moments. The lid has a barrel
o-ring and a surface o-ring. The connections are threaded through
the lid with an additional silicone seal - will not paste out like
an o-ring. Connections of both reed and motor are gold. The reed
connecdtors are adjustable for tighness, the gold are held in place
by the battery pack above.
4) RIGID, INTERCHANGEABLE,
UNBREAKABLE
The nose and back end are HDPE,
which is unbreakable. These parts are twice as thick as PVC of the
same weight. On the ohter hand, the bodies are made from custom PVC
pipe - all black - that has the exact roundness, thickness and
weight for consistant interchangeability. PVC is the best body
material due to its rigidity. The round pipe will tolerate
tremendous abuse without breaking, and will in fact hold up to
tremendous pressures without bulkheads. The bulkheads are added
strenght, and serve to position the battery packs. Current
bulkheads are made from xpanded or "foam" PVC and hard pvc,
depending on position and model of scooter.
5) FINE TUNE BATERY POSITION FROM
THE TOP TO PREVENT ROLLING EFFECT
The nose cone fits down over the
tops of the battery rods and holds the battery pack in its
position. Adjustment to the roll of the scooter can be made by the
posisitioning of the batteries on the bulkheads, where screw-on
stops are used to hold the batteries in the desired
position.
6) POSITION BATTERIES with SPACERS
and/or ADD WEIGHTS FOR BALANCE
For the Euro and Magnum scooters,
the position of the batteries in the pack is adjustable for
balance. Weights can also be added for different batteries. For the
26 Genesis version, no balance or spacing is necessary due to the
consistency of the batteries. For lighter versions of the 26
battery, weights must be added to balance. For the standard version
body, there are three thin spacers that can be used to position the
batteries to balance. With that model, the Powersonic or Panasonic
35 amp batteries are too inconsistent in weight to provide an exact
position for the two batteries. For the short scooter, the balance
is already there other than for salt water where weight is added
accordingly.
7) INTRODUCING... THE "MINI
MAG"
The "Mini Mag" is simply the
standard HDPE short body with 36 amp hour (at a one hour rate)
nickel batteries that fits in the same space and has the same
weighting as the lead acid version of the short body. The only
difference is that the lower bulkhead is thin and not thick as on
the lead acid version. Balance and trim are the same, burn time is
ridiculous. These battery packs are made by an outside vendor so
can be replaced easily by going to the vendor or by taking
advantage of my volume discount through me.
8) HANDY TRAVEL CASE... ALSO
AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING
This travel case is simply a 1660
Pelican. While they retail for $400 with the foam, I am an OEM so
can get volume at lower prices, which I pass on. This can also be
used as the original shipping case, which saves on packing. The
short body or Mini Mag will fit in the case complete. For long
bodies, you can put two bodies in one case and the two back ends
and nosees in the other.
